Which Ships Are Recognized For Being Exposed To Agent Orange?

For many years, Service Members of the Vietnam War were denied service connected compensation for medical conditions they developed in the following years. Medical conditions that other service members that served on land in Vietnam during the time frame Agent Orange was used. Blue Water Veterans (those service members who served on board ships off the coast during the Vietnam war) were considered to have been far enough away from where the chemical had been used, to have been exposed. In turn, they were not considered candidates for "Presumptive Service Connected". The VA has since come to agree that there were certain times these ships' activity did bring their crews into close enough proximity to consider them exposed to Agent Orange and those with medical conditions outlined by the VA on a list of conditions deemed Agent Orange related, are now awarded a Service Connected Disability. The list is by far, not complete. It is updated periodically as research documents places them at any time in a location of Agent Orange Exposure. ...more

How You Can Help Get A Ship Added To The VA List of Agent Orange Exposure

So often I hear (or read) where someone doesn't understand why the ship that they served on during the Vietnam War, is not listed as having been exposed to Agent Orange. Just because a particular ship has not made it to the list yet, or is listed, but only considered during a certain time frame or location of it's activity, does not mean it will never be. These ships are added by the VA only after Veteran's have filed claims for Service Connected Disabilities that are related to Agent Orange Exposure. Because the VA doesn't have the employee capacity to research all of the ships during their entire time frame of activity in the waters off of Vietnam during that era, they will only research activity addressed in the Veteran's claim. For information on how you can get a ship added to the VA's list, ...read more

Trying To Get Caught Up!

I know it's been a while since I posted last, but there have been many things going on around me that demanded my attention by priority, but hopefully most of these things are taken care of and I will now have more time to dedicate to the things I enjoy, such as blogging and writing! Who knows, maybe some of those things were meant to be future topics for blog entries or hub page articles, so stay tuned because you never know what you will read about the next time you visit my blog! In the mean time, I will be making entries that summarize a lot of the articles I've written else where, especially the ones that seem to have drawn the most interest and comments! Take care!

How To Get Things for Free Using Coupons!

Awhile back, on Hubpages, I wrote about a shopping trip where I had received a huge amount (4 or 5) Walmart bags full) of free items using coupons in a strategic manner. The thing is, a lot of the really good coupons come from online and must be printed out. I admire manufacturer's for keeping up with the times, but a word to the wise about using these coupons: Make sure your grocery store accepts them, as many do not. It's a shame, but the truth is some people have come up with ways to copy or alter the code in a printable coupon to change it's value and many stores have been burned. Walmart is one of the chains I am sure use printable coupons.
Having said all of that, the below linked banner to Coupons Inc. is well worth visiting and printing coupons. I highly recommend you either book mark it or this blog for future use. ...more

Beauty, the New Fragrance by Calvin Klein

I have to admit I first experienced Beauty while thumbing through a recent edition of marie claire. You know the sample inserts, snap back the folded edge and then rub across an upturned wrist?

I was immediately taken by the light, pure hint of the lily flower, subtle hints of cedar wood, and of course Jasmine. Of course I had to have it and found a couple of places online and compared prices. ...more
